Privacy policy

Bottle Vault is developed and operated by Sinova Enterprises, LLC.

• Account information. If you create an account, Supabase handles your email address and password authentication. We do not store or display your readable password.
• Collection content. We store the bottle details, storage layouts, locations, preferences, tasting notes, pairings, reminders, and insights you enter.
• Bottle-label images. When you request identification, the photograph you select is sent securely to our server function and OpenAI for image analysis.
• Device storage. The app keeps an on-device copy. A cloud copy is stored only when you use a Bottle Vault account.

We use information to authenticate accounts, synchronize vaults, identify bottle labels, display collections, maintain the service, and respond to support or privacy requests.

Supabase provides authentication, database storage, synchronization, and server functions. OpenAI processes label images submitted for identification. Apple and Google may process app download, update, or diagnostic information under their own policies.

Bottle Vault does not sell personal information, display third-party advertising, or use cross-app advertising trackers. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a protected business transfer.

Cloud information is retained while an account remains active. You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete account. This removes the authentication account and associated cloud vault and clears the collection stored on that device. On-device-only data can also be removed by deleting content or uninstalling the app.

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted network connections and access controls. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to restrict certain processing. Account deletion is available directly in the app.

Bottle Vault is intended for adults managing wine and spirits collections. It is not directed to children under 13.

Service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards apply.

We may update this policy as Bottle Vault changes. We will update the effective date and provide notice when required.
